There are about 400 types of dates in Iran, that are different according to genetic, region, color, size, etc. Included famous dates of Iran consist of: Zahidi, Piarom, Rabbi, Mazafati, Kabkab, Shahani, Barhi, Khasi, Halawi, Al-Mehtari, Khanizi and Mardasang.
The most popular export dates are Zahidi, Rabbi, Piarom and Mazafati which have higher nutritional value and these types can be kept and stored in better methods than other types of dates and Rotabs.

Khuzestan: Abadan, Khorramshahr, Shadgan, Ahvaz.
Hormozgan: Minab, Hajiabad, Rudan, Fin.
Bushehr: Dalaki, Shabankareh, Borazjan.
Kerman: Bam, Jiroft, Kahnuj.
Sistan and Baluchestan: Iranshahr, Saravan, Nikshahr.
Fars: Jahrom, Lar, Kazeroon, Firuzabad.
Kermanshah: Qasr-e Shirin, Somar.
Ilam: Mehran, Dehloran, Salehabad.
The most important and popular kinds of Bitatin Estahban dates are Mazafati, Piarom, Zahidi and Rabbi.
